Honoring Our Fathers

Welcome to the American WWII Orphans Network (AWON). AWON is a nationwide organization of individuals whose fathers died or were listed as MIA as a result of World War II. Our mission is to honor their service, provide a sense of community to their children, and educate the public about our fathers’ sacrifice through educational outreach and memorials.

Tributes to Our Fathers

While so many gave some during World War II, these men gave all for their country, for their families, and for the cause of freedom in the world. With a deep sense of pride, we celebrate and honor the lives of these beloved men, forever young.

Memorials Over the Years

For years, AWON has honored the fallen by bringing attention to WWII Memorials all over the world. Take the time to reflect on the lives of our Fathers and loved ones by viewing current and past Memorials, which are maintained both at home and abroad.
